The original Caldera and Caldera-S kilns were placed on top of four firebrick blocks. This model ships with a sturdy 2.5″H x 14″ x 12.75″ steel stand, complete with rubber feet. With a separate top and bottom, the Caldera is stack-able and completely portable. The firebrick corners are fitted with L-shaped notches that lasts longer than butted/mitered joints found on other brands. The base is versatile and can be flipped if one side becomes damaged.
Elements are coiled from the finest high-temperature wire available & use heat-dissipating element connectors. It is built with:
• 2.5" Insulating Refractory Firebricks • Recessed Brick Grooves protect the element for long life • Vented switch box & heavy duty wiring

Bead Collar (#45103): Stacks onto the kiln adding an extra 4.5" of height & provides a 7.5" x 2" door on the side for annealing glass beads.
X-Collar (Special Order): Stacks onto the kiln adding an extra 4.5" of height for extra firing space.
Enameling Collar (Special Order): Stacks onto the kiln adding an extra 6.75" of height & provides a 7.5" x 4" copper enamling door on the side.
